About Our Organization

WHO ARE WE?

The Comité de Fiestas Patrias y Tradiciones de Charlotte (CFPTC) (Charlotte’s Patriotic Celebrations and Traditions Committee), is a registered non-profit organization which purpose is to celebrate the identity and culture of Latin Americans and Spaniards currently living in Mecklenburg and adjacent counties.

Since its inception in July 2015, the CFPTC has organized and celebrated each of the national days of all countries in Latin America, Spain, and the United States, free of charge to the public. During these celebrations, we have welcomed an audience of between 40 to 100 Hispanic and mainstream attendees who have enjoyed our cultural events, under a family-friendly environment. All programs have included the national anthems of the United States and the honored nation, plus the audience is exposed to the cultural history, literature, traditions, gastronomy, music, and dancing of the featured country.

We have a network of speakers, performers, and volunteers of all the Spanish Speaking countries in Mecklenburg County that have participated in the implementation and realization of the events.
